The International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP) is offering the Captain Haggerty Dog Professional Conference Scholarship! If you know any young adults that have an interest in dogs and would like to attend the annual conference at no charge, this opportunity is for them! Scholarship Program Rules: • Anyone may enter that are between the ages of 16-25 years old. If the recipient of the award is under the age of 18, they must be accompanied by an adult. Please note: the accompanying adult expenses are not covered. • A 500-600 word essay is to be written by the applicant on `Why they would like to attend the IACP Annual Educational Conference, which should include their dog experience, if any, and the goals they hope to obtain within the field of "dogs".
• Submissions must be RECEIVED no later than February 15, 2010. • All submissions will be forwarded to the Conference Scholarship Committee, who will review all essays and announce a winner no later than March 1, 2010. This will allow approximately 2 weeks for travel plans to be arranged by the recipient. We are very pleased to announce that we will be able to award this scholarship to a total of three (3) recipients for the 2010 conference! The 'winners' will be given a free admission and lunch to the entire IACP Annual Educational Conference, and up to a $500.00 stipend toward travel arrangements and hotel expenses. This program will not only expose young adults to the IACP, but it will also show them some of the wonderful opportunities they can have to work with dogs.
